OUR STORY, MISSION AND TEAM

CROWNED
COAST 2 COAST
A CULTURAL HUB OF DANCE EDUCATION BASED IN NYC
Mr. Kwadjo Bediako (Coach E) comes from Ghana, West Africa, famously known as the "Gold Coast", where dance is part of everyday life.
He lives on the East Coast of the United States, in New York City - a prominent source of American culture, affectionately known as the cultural capital of the world.
Coach E was inspired by the multitudes of cultural values, traditions, techniques he encountered while growing up in the melting pot of Queens, NYC. Coupled with his passion for the world's youth and for education, Crowned Coast 2 Coast was born as a resource for children to explore their heritages, expand their knowledge about the world, and challenge themselves through the medium of dance education and programming.
Crowned Coast 2 Coast's mission is to bring the discipline, community, and joy found in many African dance styles to the youth of America.
We strive to help young dancers discover the King or Queen that lives inside them. We nurture our youth, provide useful resources to our members, and contribute to our local, national, and global communities.

Mission Statement
"It takes a village to raise a child." - African Proverb
Our dance company is dedicated to bridging the gap between people from the Gold Coast of Africa to the East Coast of America through the universal language of dance. We aim to create a safe space for youth that feels like family - where cultural exchange and artistic expression can flourish, bringing people together and fostering understanding and connection. Our mission is to celebrate diversity and promote unity through the power of movement.

CC2C Vision

This quote captures the essence of our dance company's mission to inspire and empower individuals to see their greatness through the art of dance.
"You can't be what you can't see" is a powerful statement that highlights the importance of representation in all areas of life. It's crucial for individuals to see themselves reflected in various fields, whether it's in the media, politics, or the workplace.
